Common questions
How do I join someone's household?
Ask the household owner for the 8-character invite code. In the app, choose to join a household, enter the code, and pick your role: household member or manager. If you belong to more than one household, switch between them from the household name on the Today and To-dos screens.
What can each role see?
Owners and household members see everything in the household. Managers see everything by default, and an owner can limit a manager to only the to-dos assigned to them.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings and choose to delete your account. Your account and the personal information tied to it are removed. If you cannot get into the app, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is deleted.
Why am I not getting reminders?
Check that notifications are allowed for Lighter House in your phone's settings, and that the to-do has a reminder time set. Reminders are sent to the phone of the person the to-do is assigned to.
How do I report a problem or suggest a feature?
